The Destination Wedding Letter · Puerto Rico

Ah, a wedding by the sea.

The one your guests will fly for — and talk about long after the plane ride home.

— A letter to the couple —

A note from Tu Punto Focal

Ah, destination weddings. The ones where love decides an ordinary ballroom simply will not do — that the vows deserve palm trees, a sunset over the Atlantic, and a rhythm the mainland has never quite heard.

This chronicler has watched hundreds of weddings across our island. And permit me one inconvenient truth: at a destination wedding, your guests are not merely attending. They booked flights. They cleared calendars. Whether they admit it or not, they arrived expecting a story.

The difference between a lovely destination wedding and an unforgettable one is never the budget. It is the focal point that holds the night together when something drifts from the plan — and on an island, something always does.

Let us be that focal point. In English and in Spanish, from your very first email to the last song of the night.

Behind the curtain

Two focal points.

Solís coordinates. Alex orchestrates. Together they have run more than a hundred nights across Puerto Rico — oceanfront weddings in Rincón, centuries-old haciendas in Cidra, ballrooms in the metro area. Wherever your venue is, that is where we are. And we run the whole night in English and Spanish, so every guest feels at home.

An excellent human being and a whole other level of service. Hiring them for our wedding was the best decision we made. They made our wedding fun, varied, and they surprised us all night long.

From the very first conversation I was won over by how quickly they respond. The service was completely professional and everything ran without a hitch. It is SO easy with TPF because they offer EVERYTHING — DJ, hosting, lighting, cold sparks, 360 booth, dance floor.

— Frequently asked —

What couples always ask us.

Do U.S. couples need a passport to get married in Puerto Rico?
No. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, so for U.S. citizens it is domestic travel — no passport required, and the U.S. dollar is the currency. The marriage license itself is a separate legal step handled through Puerto Rico’s Demographic Registry; we are happy to point you and your planner in the right direction.
Do you work in English?
Completely. Our host, our coordination, and every message from first inquiry to final playlist are fully bilingual (English & Spanish) — so your out-of-town guests and your island family all feel included.
How much is a wedding DJ in Puerto Rico?
Our Intimate package (professional DJ for 5 hours, booth, dance-floor lighting and microphones) starts at $1,000. The Classic, which adds the bilingual MC to run your timeline, starts at $1,500. From there you add à la carte whatever your night calls for. For destination weddings we build a tailored quote that includes travel to your venue.
Which venues do you travel to?
All of them. We have worked weddings in San Juan, Río Grande, Dorado, Fajardo, Rincón, Vieques and Culebra. For venues outside the metro area a travel fee applies — always included up front in your quote.
Can we plan everything remotely?
Yes — most of our destination couples do. We plan from your first email, share options as you go, and hold a pre-event coordination call to lock every detail before you land.
What makes a Puerto Rico wedding different?
The island’s own energy: a live batucadadrumline, an LED stilt-walking robot, costumed characters — the kind of Caribbean spectacle your guests simply won’t find at a wedding back home.
What if the venue has sound restrictions?
We carry systems that adapt to venues with restrictions (10pm curfews, dB caps, indoor-only). We review it together at the pre-event coordination meeting.
What photo booth experiences are included?
One booth, every format — at no extra charge. The same setup does classic prints, GIFs, boomerangs, video, our Glam black-and-white studio look, green screen, a video guest book, and AI portraits. Ask us about our vintage audio guest book phone and our mirror booth too — where others charge for each of these separately, we bring them together.

“Your wedding date is already marked
on some calendar of the universe.”

All that is left is to tell us. We confirm availability within 24–48 hours.
